Our team is committed to "our mission is to evaluate and disseminate information regarding the risks and benefits of the proposed manganese mine in Emily, MN to support economic opportunities in a manner consistent with sound natural conservations and community health."

President
Mark Mosman
The Mosmans have owned a lake home in Emily for 20 years. Mark is on the Emily Planning and Zoning Commission, lake association board and a member of Lakers Lions. He joined the EMIG group to inform the public on water and mining issues.

Vice President
Jan Mosman
Issues affecting community are just as important in a small place as in "the big city", and she wants all business, resident and visitor voices to be heard.
She transferred her experience in city government and other public work to Emily, making this her full-time home shortly after she and Mark purchased their home. She's served on Emily P&Z, City Council, various task forces and the RALALA board. She is also involved with Lakers Lions, and GoNorthMn.

Amy Flynn Brennan
Amy is a founding member of EMIG and lives year-round in Emily, Minnesota, with her husband, Dan.
Amy's family has enjoyed Ruth Lake for more than 50 years, fostering a lifelong commitment to protecting Minnesota's waters. She spent her career in pharmaceutical and biotechnology sales and currently serves on the boards of a Golden Retriever rescue organization, the Ruth Lake Improvement District, and Minnesota Lakes and Rivers Advocates.
In her free time, Amy enjoys traveling, baking, gardening, and hiking in the woods with Dan and their three dogs

Dan Brennan
Dan is a resident of Emily. He and his wife Amy live on Ruth Lake. Dan is a member of
the Emily City Council, President of the Ruth Lake Improvement District, a Golden Retriever rescue foster, and an estates and trusts attorney.
Dan is a founding member of EMIG and is committed to ensuring that the communities affected by mining activity in Emily have accurate information regarding the economic, environmental, health and lifestyle impacts of that activity.

Board member
Britta Koch
Britta's family has enjoyed a property on Blue Lake for more than 100 years, and she wants future generations to be able to savor its beauty. Retired from a career in technology, she looks forward to using her skills to assist EMIG with its mission, website design, and marketing.
Britta is the secretary for the Blue Lake Association, teaches free yoga classes in Emily, is the volunteer coordinator for the Emily Food Shelf, and volunteers at the Women's Safety Alliance in Brainerd.
